This project started in 2001 when "our house found us". We undertake the repairs and improvements that the property requires, in large part, with our own hands, often with the help of volunteers friends, to whom´s we are extremely grateful. And sometimes with the support of some professional workers.

We have a space for the practice of Tai Chi Chuan and Chi Kung for a maximum of 12 to 14 people, two art studios and we are conditioning to be able to train outdoors the next summer. We also have a small garden.

"Our primary purpose is to enjoy " *

*Enjoy "En" (Inside) and "Joy" (happyness).

This may be considered superficial , if "enjoy" is associated with follow shortcuts, escapism, or with the easy pleasant. Defined as such, enjoy become an endless race to escape from fear and anxiety.

For us, instead, enjoy is the way to follow what´s makes our heart vibrate. Is the conection with this inner vibration, what gives us strength and is the base of what we want to share.

About Us

"Tai Chi" (Tai Ji) is the Chinese name of the symbol "Yin - Yang" and "Chuan" (Quan) means boxing or martial art. Could be translated as "boxing based on the principles of harmony between yin and yang". It is an art to cultivate consciousness and health through the principles of circularity, non-resistance, naturality, flexibility, unity and attention.

"Consciousness is the state of mind that consist in keeping the attention in a neutral way, without attachment and fully in the present."

The constant practice has numerous health benefits, strengthens the body and its internal systems and enhances the ability to harmonize body and mind. It work´s together posture, breathing, flexibility, rhythm, inner strength, balance, coordination and meditation.

As an internal system of Kung Fu (Nei Chia Chuan), emphasizes the development of internal energy (Chi Kung) through the combined use of the mental attitude or attention, body alignment and flexibility of the tendons. The technique is based on the development of a stable center of gravity, allowing the body to perform naturally circular and spiral movements, creating the ability to receive and redirect the attacking force, helping the oponent to get out of balance and then been able to counter-attack. It combines pushes and a wide range of punches, palm, elbows and shoulders strikes, low and medium height kicks, used both offensively and defensively and also pulls and torsions (ChinNa), along with the use of specific footwork.

The core of the system is in the practice of "Tui Shou" or "push hands", which makes the hinge between solo practice (technique, Chi Kung, body structure, form, internal principles, etc.) and the application or the use of them. Tui Shou is a practice with comrades, aimed at learning to feel the direction and intention of the attacking force and redirect it, and that depends on becoming aware of our own body-mind, our reactions and resistances.

The inner qualities of Tai Chi Chuan (calm, peace, balance) are far outweighs the development of martial or Tui Shou skills. The skill level is the result of the proper tuition and the perseveration in the personal practice and the art development. The qualities comes from the integration of the art into daily life. Little by little, consciousness gradually developed, will reveal what happens inside us, and the ways in which we affect´s our situations, and the ways the situations affect´s us.
